My mission in creating this blog is to:
1) First and MOST importantly, provide a little scientific background into this lifestyle - pros, cons, human and cellular biology!
2)Detail my own raw food lifestyle and help inspire other females, people of African descent or otherwise, and fellow Bermudians
4) Provide a quirky and alternative reference point in the raw food world
6) Give no frills, FREE advice on being raw with those who are financially impaired in mind. This means no having to buy all the fancy merchandise and self help packages and all the entitlements this lifestyle I find has become wrapped up in - a bank account vampire. Meh.
I am not big on telling people that their way is wrong and THIS is the only way; and so, I strive to not come across that way in this blog. If I do, well, throw a grenade at me. Instead I just want to document. If you like what you see here, please take it and do something with it. If you don't like it, then *shrug* you don't like it and move on with your life.
LINGO and LANGUAGE
I will be peppering this blog with various terms I will have made up and quirky language that may be a bit much to handle. This is just the flavour of my personality. I find other raw foodist blogs tend to scream "I'm eco, I'm green, I'm safe and tame, I'm spiritual and for a small price you too can buy gleaming health!" See my cynicism in glorious colors. It's harmless really. I swear.
ABOUT
I've been an on and off raw foodist for a few years now. I am about to start medical school and feel like now is the time to be more dedicated and invest more scientific research into this "shindig". Documenting will aid me on my journey as hey, words have power.
I'm an alt chick. I prefer dark colors, weird music and a cynical view on life. My given obsession is health and raw food is my dietary mantra.
